Bernard Langer is no different than many golfers who’ve transitioned from the PGA Tour to the Champions Tour. He hesitated, not knowing if he wanted to compete, or if the circuit on which he became one of golf’s finest international players was finally leaving him behind. What a difference a season makes.

October 30, 2008
The most unique moment I’ve ever seen in a golf tournament wasn’t a monster Tiger Woods’ shot or a missed short putt prohibiting a win. The most unique thing I’ve ever seen was also viewed by millions of others on national television, and it was something you may not want to see again. I know [...]

Juli Inkster has a back yard as big as a golf course — sort of. Inkster received a sponsor’s exemption to play in the Samsung World Championship this week at Half Moon Bay, Calif.
Inkster, 48, is from Santa Cruz, 20-plus miles South on Highway 1. She lives in Los Altos, near Half Moon Bay Golf [...]
LPGA Samsung World Championship: First Impressions
October 1, 2008
I am a rookie. I admit it. A rookie golfer, see Bogey Golfer. I am also a rookie at covering golfing events. But everyone has to start somewhere, right? I started at the Walmart First Tee Open in Pebble Beach. And now I am attending the LPGA Samsung World Championship in Half Moon Bay, Calif. [...]
